Cookie Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

This page explains which cookies manuarti.it uses, what they are for and how they are managed. It supplements the Privacy Policy, to which reference should be made for the identity of the joint controllers and for the rights of the data subject.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on the device of the person visiting it, and that are returned to the website on subsequent visits. They serve to make the pages work, to remember a preference, or to count visits. Alongside cookies there are other identifiers with an analogous function, such as the local storage technologies of the browser: where these occur, the same rules apply.

2. What this website uses, exactly

MANUARTI is a showcase website: it does not sell, it has no cart, it has no reserved area, it hosts no forms. Consequently it uses very few cookies, all of them first-party — that is, placed by the website itself and not by third parties.

Name Type What it is for Duration
localization Technical Remembers the country and language chosen, so that the page opens in the right version without having to be asked at every visit. 1 year
_shopify_y First-party analytics An identifier that makes it possible to distinguish a returning visitor from a new one, and to produce aggregate statistics on the trend of visits. 1 year
_shopify_s First-party analytics An identifier of the individual browsing session: it serves to reconstruct the path taken within the website during a single visit. 30 minutes

The platform may place further strictly technical cookies on the occasion of specific events — for example for the management of the secure session or for the prevention of abuse. These are cookies without which the website would not work, and they are not used for any other purpose.

3. What this website does NOT use

It is worth stating it at length, because it is the part that is usually of interest:

  • no profiling cookies, that is, no tool that builds a profile of tastes or behaviour in order to serve advertising;
  • no third-party cookies: no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no Meta pixel or that of any other advertising platform, no heat-map or session-recording service;
  • no sharing of identifiers with advertising circuits or with remarketing networks;
  • no embedded third-party content — videos, maps, social boxes — that places cookies when the page is opened.

The links to external websites — the Tuscany Market Hub marketplace, the websites of the associations and of the partners, the websites of the businesses featured — are plain links: they load nothing until one chooses to follow them. Once they have been followed, one leaves MANUARTI, and the rules of the destination website apply.

4. Why no consent banner appears

Technical cookies do not require prior consent. The two analytics cookies are first-party, produced by the same infrastructure that serves the pages, and they are not used to cross-reference the user's browsing across different websites nor to build individual profiles: their sole purpose is the aggregate measurement of the performance of the website. They can nonetheless be disabled with the tools described in the following paragraph.

5. How they are managed and deleted

Every browser makes it possible to see which cookies are present, to delete them, to block them in whole or in part, and to set the refusal of third-party ones. The instructions are in the documentation of the browser in use:

Blocking technical cookies may prevent some functions from behaving as expected — for example the language might revert to the default one at every visit. Blocking the analytics ones has no effect whatsoever on the consultation of the website.

6. Who is responsible

The joint controllers are UAI Firenze and UAI Livorno, the implementing bodies of the two MANUARTI projects. The identifying data of the joint controllers and the single point of contact are indicated in paragraph 1 of the Privacy Policy. For any question about this page: team@manuarti.it.

7. Updates

Should the website in future adopt tools that place cookies other than those listed, this page will be updated before their activation and, where the law so requires, a prior consent banner will be introduced.
